March 2004 Video Card Price Guide - Page 5By SharkyExtreme.com Staff March 31, 2004If the entry-level and mainstream video cards cover us to the $200 price mark, then the high-end market takes us home. Here there is really no price limit, and as long as it's a desktop 3D gaming card, then we'll do our best to fit it in. This segment really starts off with the Radeon 9800 Pro and GeForce FX 5900 cards, before finishing with the top-end Radeon 9800XT and GeForce FX 5950 cards, some of which can push over the $400 mark. The Radeon 9800 Pro 128-MB continues to hold all the cards when it comes to high-end value, and we can even report price cuts through the various models. Moving higher on the list, we find the ATI Radeon 9800XT 256-MB cards up against the GeForce FX 5950 Ultra 256-MB models, though the NVIDIA boards do enjoy a slight price advantage.
