May Video Card Price Guide - Page 3By SharkyExtreme.com Staff May 28, 2004We designate the entry-level market as video cards that have a street price of under-$100. These cards are targeted at value-system buyers, and we usually don't find the high-performance hardware at this price range. Of course, that doesn't mean that gaming performance or features have to suffer, and only having a C-Note in your pocket is no reason to start looking in the bargain bins. The entry-level video card selection was pretty stable again this month, with the only significant drop being the result of another NewEgg "blowout". The best deals continue to be the ATI Radeon 9600SE and NVIDIA GeForce FX 5600XT cards, and offer a lot of bang for the buck. The Radeon 9600SE is a great option for the budget crowd, as it has performance and features that far outweigh its $64 price tag.
