July 2004 Video Card Price Guide - Page 3By SharkyExtreme.com Staff July 31, 2004We designate the entry-level market as video cards that have a street price of under-$100. These cards are targeted at value-system buyers, and we usually don't find the high-performance hardware at this price range. Of course, that doesn't mean that gaming performance or features have to suffer, and only having a C-Note in your pocket is no reason to start looking in the bargain bins. The entry-level video card list is pretty stable again this week, and the sub-$100 range is not really the place to go for huge price fluctuations. There were some nominal changes up and down, which basically cancelled each other out and left us in the same place. The ATI Radeon 9600SE continues to lead the pack in terms of overall value, although the NVIDIA GeForce FX 5600XT does give it a good run. We've also added in a few PCI Express cards this month, including the ATI X300 SE 128MB, which barely snuck into the entry-level list.
