November Video Card Price Guide - Page 3By SharkyExtreme.com Staff November 3, 2004We designate the entry-level market as video cards that have a street price of under-$100. These cards are targeted at value-system buyers, and we usually don't find the high-performance hardware at this price range. Of course, that doesn't mean that gaming performance or features have to suffer, and only having a C-Note in your pocket is no reason to start looking in the bargain bins. The entry-level video card market shows very little change from last month, with the ATI X300 LE 128MB OEM (PCIe) being the only new entrant on the list. This card dropped a healthy $20, and alongside the ATI X300 SE 128MB OEM, it offers another ATI-based entry level option for the PCI Express system buyer. The old-school ATI Radeon 9500 64MB was the only other card to get a double-digit cut, but for our money, the ATI Radeon 9600SE 128MB is still the true value leader, and the GeForce FX 5700LE 128MB continues to offer the performance buyer something extra as the sub-$100 range.
