ATI and NVIDIA Video Cards: Full List

The following chart takes all of the tracked ATI and NVIDIA cards, and incorporates it into one monster chart, that is then sorted by retail price. It's a very extensive list, which gives you all the pertinent price data, and all in one place. This is also a great way to view the data, and determine exactly where the cards stack up to each other, along with rating your budget against the gamut of available options. Video card price sorting was done previously in the high-end/mainstream/entry-level price lists, but we couldn't resist posting the entire video card selection, from top to bottom.

The overall price chart gives another view of the video card market, and while we don't see anything new in terms of pricing or value, it does make the individual "value points" much more obvious. The entry-level market is where the low-priced Radeon 9600SE offers a ton of value for AGP buyers, while the Radeon 9600XT 128MB does the same for more performance-minded gamers. The PCIe contingent is also well represented, with the NVIDIA GeForce PCX 5750 and ATI X600 Pro 128MB giving a huge boost to low-cost PC Express gaming systems.

The mainstream sector remains mostly a one-horse race, as the GeForce 6600GT PCI Express and AGP boards offer serious gaming power, and come in at a relatively low price. The dark horse is the $199 ATI Radeon X800 128MB, which is basically a lower-clocked version of the ATI Radeon X800 Pro. Once we reach the high-end, we see one very interesting development, as the ATI All-in-Wonder Radeon X800 XT 256MB is actually priced lower than a standard Radeon X800 XT 256MB card, and offers a wild value for interested buyers. On the NVIDIA side, the GeForce 6800GT 256MB is still the best overall bet, especially now that SLI has reached the mass market.
