June Video Card Price Guide - Page 3By SharkyExtreme.com Staff June 10, 2005We designate the entry-level market as video cards that have a street price of under $100. These cards are targeted at value-system buyers, and we usually don't find the high-performance hardware at this price range. Of course, that doesn't mean that gaming performance or features have to suffer, and only having a C-Note in your pocket is no reason to start looking in the bargain bins. Usually we welcome a new entrant into the entry-level list each month, and this time out, it's the ATI X600 Pro 256MB PCI Express card making its debut in the sub-$100 club. Last month's entry, the Radeon 9600XT 128MB, pushed up $3 and almost off the chart, but thankfully it's still in contention. The 9600XT is a serious performance option for entry-level buyers, while the Radeon 9600SE 128MB offers a lot of value for just over $50. For PCI Express buyers, the NVIDIA GeForce PCX 5750 128MB and ATI X600 Pro 128MB/256MB boards offer a price-performance ratio on par with the Radeon 9600XT 128MB AGP.
