ATI and NVIDIA Video Cards: Full List

The following chart takes all of the tracked ATI and NVIDIA cards, and incorporates it into one monster chart, that is then sorted by retail price. It's a very extensive list, which gives you all the pertinent price data, and all in one place. This is also a great way to view the data, and determine exactly where the cards stack up to each other, along with rating your budget against the gamut of available options. Video card price sorting was done previously in the high-end/mainstream/entry-level price lists, but we couldn't resist posting the entire video card selection, from top to bottom.

The overall price chart gives another view of the video card market, and while we don't see anything new in terms of pricing or value, it does make the individual "value points" much more obvious. The entry-level market for AGP cards is where the Radeon 9600XT 128MB continues to perform well, but the lower-priced ATI Radeon 9800SE 128MB makes for a compelling alternative. The PCI Express options remain virtually unchanged, and the GeForce 6600 128MB and Radeon X600 XT 128MB cards continue to offer best-in-class gaming performance for the entry-level market.

The GeForce 6600GT PCI Express and AGP cards are still a great mainstream value, but the ATI Radeon X800 GTO 256MB is a very fast contender on the PCI Express side. The various GeForce 6800XT and 6800 boards also compete quite well against the ATI board, and we haven't even mentioned the GeForce 6800 GS 256MB video card, which is just a hair away from dropping into the mainstream chart. For high-end AGP buyers, the All-in-Wonder Radeon X800 XT 256MB is a no-brainer, especially as it remains lower priced than standard X800 XT cards. At the enthusiast level, PCI Express is king, and although the Radeon X1800 XL has become more price-competitive, the GeForce 7800 GT and GTX 256MB cards continue to offer lower price points and higher overall value.
