ATI and NVIDIA Video Cards: Price Changes

The following chart takes all of the tracked ATI and NVIDIA cards, and incorporates it into one monster price list, that is then sorted by the monthly price change. This gives us a slightly different view than in previous ATI and NVIDIA lists, as it identifies the month's biggest movers and shakers, and can really help identify the areas to take advantage of. When used with the other price charts, this list can add another dimension to the monthly video card prices, but keep in mind that the largest cuts may not translate into the best overall deal.

The overall price change list confirms our findings in the individual charts and commentary, and we again see a few of the highlighted cards featured prominently in the "movers and shakers" area. February was a very even month for the ATI and NVIDIA competition, as there was an even split in the top 10 price cuts. Due to the coverage on the individual charts, this was anticipated, as both areas showed similar price drops. Where it changes is on the bottom of the chart, where ATI cards posted all of the significant price increases, and the highest NVIDIA jump was only $10. The selection of new high-performance video cards, all sporting price tags north of $200, should help make this area very interesting come March.
