ATI and NVIDIA Video Cards: Price Changes

The following chart takes all of the tracked ATI and NVIDIA cards, and incorporates it into one monster price list, that is then sorted by the monthly price change. This gives us a slightly different view than in previous ATI and NVIDIA lists, as it identifies the month's biggest movers and shakers, and can really help identify the areas to take advantage of. When used with the other price charts, this list can add another dimension to the monthly video card prices, but keep in mind that the largest cuts may not translate into the best overall deal.

The overall price change list confirms our findings in the individual charts and commentary, and we again see a few of the highlighted cards featured prominently in the "movers and shakers" area. In terms of the largest price cuts, May was definitely ATI's month, as the top three drops (including two over $100) all hit ATI Radeon cards. But NVIDIA showed more consistency, and the next seven entries were all for GeForce cards, more specifically, GeForce 7900-based models. The entire Top 10 was also comprised entirely of high-end cards with price tags of $200 or more.
