ATI and NVIDIA Video Cards: Price Changes

The following chart takes all of the tracked ATI and NVIDIA cards, and incorporates it into one monster price list, that is then sorted by the monthly price change. This gives us a slightly different view than in previous ATI and NVIDIA lists, as it identifies the month's biggest movers and shakers, and can really help identify the areas to take advantage of. When used with the other price charts, this list can add another dimension to the monthly video card prices, but keep in mind that the largest cuts may not translate into the best overall deal.

The overall price change list confirms our findings in the individual charts and commentary, and we again see a few of the highlighted cards featured prominently in the "movers and shakers" area. In terms of the largest price cuts, June was definitely ATI's month, as the company's GPUs accounted for the top four price drops, and seven out of the top ten. This is pretty serious domination, and as we noted previously, the ATI price drops affected a wide range of performance and budget levels, while the larger NVIDIA cuts were more centered on the high-end GeForce 7900 GT and GTX cards.
