February Video Card Price Guide - Page 3By SharkyExtreme.com Staff February 28, 2008We designate the entry-level graphics market as any video card that has a street price of under $100. These cards are targeted at value-system buyers, and we usually don't find the high-performance hardware at this price range. Of course, that doesn't mean that gaming performance or features have to suffer, and only having a C-Note in your pocket is no reason to start looking in the bargain bins or scouring Ebay for refurbs. The entry-level video card chart grew by leaps and bounds this month, as the majority of new entries were of the sub-$100 variety. You can also add in some new members dropping below the $100 barrier, like the Radeon HD 2600 XT 512MB, Radeon X1950 Pro 256MB, and GeForce 8600 GT 512MB. This translates into a wide selection of cards for entry-level buyers, and it's almost to the point of confusion right now. The Radeon HD 2600 XT 512MB and GeForce 8600 GT 512MB are both great options, as is the Radeon HD 3650 512MB. There are also high-speed, previous generation cards like the Radeon X1950 Pro 256MB and GeForce 6800XT 256MB to contend with as well.
