March Video Card Price Guide - Page 3By SharkyExtreme.com Staff March 31, 2008We designate the entry-level graphics market as any video card that has a street price of under $100. These cards are targeted at value-system buyers, and we usually don't find the high-performance hardware at this price range. Of course, that doesn't mean that gaming performance or features have to suffer, and only having a C-Note in your pocket is no reason to start looking in the bargain bins or scouring Ebay for refurbs. The entry-level video card chart grew a bit again this month, and the majority of new entries continue to be of the sub-$100 variety. The chart welcomed three new members this month, as the Radeon X1650 XT 256MB, Radeon HD 2600 XT 256MB GDDR4 and Radeon X1600 Pro 256MB video cards fell below the $100 barrier. There were a few significant price drops as well, and overall value here is extremely good. The Radeon HD 2600 XT 512MB, GeForce 8600 GT 512MB and Radeon HD 3650 512MB cards are great value options, while last-gen models like the Radeon X800 Pro 256MB and GeForce 6800XT 256MB still offer a lot of power in the sub-$100 price range.
