April Video Card Price Guide - Page 3By SharkyExtreme.com Staff April 30, 2008We designate the entry-level graphics market as any video card that has a street price of under $100. These cards are targeted at value-system buyers, and we usually don't find the high-performance hardware at this price range. Of course, that doesn't mean that gaming performance or features have to suffer, and only having a C-Note in your pocket is no reason to start looking in the bargain bins or scouring Ebay for refurbs. The entry-level video card chart grew again this month, witnessing a few new debuts, as well as seeing the Radeon HD 3650 512MB slide under the $100 barrier. New and returning entrants included the GeForce 6600 512MB, GeForce 6800XT 128MB, and Radeon X1650 GT 256MB cards, driving the number of sub-$100 cards to all time highs. The Radeon HD 3650 512MB and GeForce 8600 GT 512MB cards are both great value options, while previous-generation models like the Radeon X800 Pro 256MB and GeForce 6800XT 256MB still offer a lot of power in the sub-$100 price range.
