June Video Card Price Guide - Page 3By SharkyExtreme.com Staff June 30, 2008We designate the entry-level graphics market as any video card that has a street price of under $100. These cards are targeted at value-system buyers, and we usually don't find the high-performance hardware at this price range. Of course, that doesn't mean that gaming performance or features have to suffer, and only having a C-Note in your pocket is no reason to start looking in the bargain bins or scouring Ebay for refurbs. The sheer depth of the entry-level video card chart is incredible, and it continues to grow with each passing month. Two new cards entered the list, with the Radeon X1300 256MB (AGP) making its first appearance and the GeForce 8600 GTS 256MB shedding $10 off its retail price to hit $97. Otherwise, it was a uneventful month for entry-level video cards, and the Radeon HD 3650 512MB/1GB and GeForce 8600 GT 512MB cards remain great value options, while the new GeForce 8600 GTS 256MB offers some direct competition to last-generation performance cards like the Radeon X800 Pro 256MB and GeForce 6800XT 256MB.
