July Video Card Price Guide - Page 3By SharkyExtreme.com Staff July 31, 2008We designate the entry-level graphics market as any video card that has a street price of under $100. These cards are targeted at value-system buyers, and we usually don't find the high-performance hardware at this price range. Of course, that doesn't mean that gaming performance or features have to suffer, and only having a C-Note in your pocket is no reason to start looking in the bargain bins or scouring Ebay for refurbs. The sheer depth of the entry-level video card chart is incredible, and it continues to grow with each passing month. We added another two cards this month, but amazingly, none of the mainstream video cards managed to drop below the $100 barrier. There are still some very impressive values at the sub-$100 level, including the Radeon HD 3650 512MB/1GB and GeForce 8600 GT 512MB cards, and while the GeForce 8600 GTS 256MB remains a top performance choice, the GeForce 9500 GT 512MB is a challenger. Also, don't forget about last-generation graphics cards like the GeForce 7600 GS 256MB or GeForce 6800XT 256MB.
