We designate the entry-level graphics market as any video card that has a street price of under $100. These cards are targeted at value-system buyers, and we usually don't find the high-performance hardware at this price range. Of course, that doesn't mean that gaming performance or features have to suffer, and only having a C-Note in your pocket is no reason to start looking in the bargain bins or scouring Ebay for refurbs.
The number of entry-level video cards grew again in February, with a few older models like the GeForce 6600 and Radeon X1650 Pro sneaking back into the chart, and the All-in-Wonder 9600XT 128MB falling from the mainstream list. There are a ton of potential graphics deals at the sub-$100 price range, including the GeForce 9600 GSO 512MB/768MB and Radeon HD 4650 512MB cards. But while these are certainly nice, the ATI Radeon HD 4670 512MB/1GB and Radeon HD 4830 512MB cards are the true price-performance leaders at this range.
