Benchmarks taken from a Voodoo3 3000 clocked at 166Mhz:

In another surprise, 3Dfx will also announce that another Voodoo3 based product will go on sale. This will be called the 3500 and will actually be the same spec 3000 that we told you about back at Comdex '98. The 16MB of SDRAM memory will be clocked at 183MHz delivering the proclaimed "366Mtexels/second" fill rate.

At $249.99 (suggested US retail price), the 183MHz Voodoo3 3500 AGP based board (again there won't be a PCI version) is expected to deliver up to 8 million triangles and 366 Megatexels per second at resolutions of up to 2,048 by 1,536 pixels. With its 350MHz RAMDAC, patented LCDfx technology, the 3500 has been designed to support the latest digital flat panel displays. Howse went on to state that,"3Dfx has done extensive research and realized that more and more end-users are succumbing to the lure of the LCD display due to the falling prices and with LCDX end-users will be able to take full advantage with a Voodoo3". The Voodoo3 3500 will include 3Dfx's proprietary flat-panel support, LCDfx. Manufactured by STB Systems, Inc., Voodoo3 3500 will however be available in limited quantities and will also sport TV/S-Video Out capabilities the same as the 3000. The 3000's game bundle will also be used for the 3500 as well. This is the Voodoo 3 based board that 3Dfx hopes Quake 2 at 1600X1200 will become a reality. You could say the 3500 is the board for end-users that like to have all their bells and whistles. At a fairly aggressive $189.99 let's hope so eh? Alas, the Sharky Extreme will be able to live with 84 frames per second at 1024x768 though. Don't ask, it's purely a genital thing…
