  • We did manage to run timedemo 1 for Quake III Arena at ABIT Taiwan. Remember, this board is beta and not a completed, shipping product. There are still the usual bugs and performance issues being worked out.

With some tweaking, we managed to get the KA7 up to 96.0fps in Normal Quality, 640x480x16bpp with the Athlon 900MHz. While this is a lower score than we saw in our Athlon reviews, we were using a TNT2 Ultra clocked at 175/183 in those reviews instead of the Viper770Ultra's 150/183 setting. And again, remember, this is a beta board. Final performance numbers are usually higher.
