  • Ziff-Davis put this one together for testing out productivity since, let's face it, life is not just about games. By running iterations of Photoshop, Adobe Premier, Macromedia Director, Macromedia Dreamweaver, Netscape Navigator and Sonic Foundry Sound Forge, different aspects of a system's architecture are stressed. Once again, with the close of the year comes another 'new version of a benchmark,' which we've welcomed and added to our test suite as a result.

We were less-than-thrilled with the score from the DDR system under Content Creation 2001. The Corona packed quite a punch and won the war of the AMD platforms in this benchmark. The ALi MAGiK 1 DDR marginally pipped the KT-133 SDRAM system. We can only hope that as the drivers improve, so will the score for Content Creation. The Windows 2000 score was obtained with great difficulty in terms of stability and we're pretty sure once the problems get sorted out that the score will be quite a bit higher, especially when comparing the Windows 98 scores.
