Evolva is a DirectX 7 game with high-polygon scenes that supports MMX, SSE, 3DNow, hardware T&L, and DOT3 bump mapping. We tested with bump mapping off.
The RADEON DDR clearly wins the Evolva test by a wide margin. The SDR version comes in second, also well ahead of the NVIDIA based cards. Third goes to the Hercules MX, a bit ahead of the other GeForce2 MX cards. The Voodoo4 is also a bit behind the MX cards, and in a distant last place is the Matrox G450.
The ATI RADEON DDR is the clear winner here. The RADEON SDR and Hercules cards trade blows and about equal out. The Other MX's are all bunched together not too far behind. The Voodoo4 and G450 both have classes of their own in the back of the pack. The Voodoo4 is still a highly playable card, but the G450 will only cut it at low resolutions.
