The Helios 3D Voodoo2 drivers proved to be little more than 3Dfx's reference drivers with an A-Trend image slapped into the control panel for effect. Even though the A-Trend drivers had no slider option in the display properties for overclocking, by using 3Dfx's reference drivers, we found that overclocking to 100MHz was no problem whatsoever. Quake 2 ran as it should, with no lock ups, as did SiN and the Blood 2 Demo. In sum, the card itself is just as reliable as any North American counterpart Voodoo2 and it also performs in an almost identical fashion (see graphs for clarification on this). The test machine used was a Pentium II 400MHz with 128MB PC100 RAM and a Quantum Fireball 10.2 Gigabyte hard drive.

Other than a driver CD and a fairly flexible VGA pass-through cable most Taiwanese Voodoo2 boards don't come with anything else. That's fairly standard issue Voodoo2 accessories for a board of this type made in Taiwan. What isn't usually included in the 'standard issue' is a game demo CD. Not that it's particularly great but it's at least a sign of effort and 'life' in the software bundle department. On the CD are demos of G-Police, Shadow Master, Shipwreckers and Wipe Out XL, none of which will bring you to your feet but at least it might take you down memory lane if you happen to be an ardent fan of Psygnosis.
