  • The home multimedia market is exploding right now, and a CPU upgrade is one of the areas in which both amateur and professional multimedia authors can seek performance gains.

    The Video 2000 suite offers a specific test to determine the speed of MPEG encoding, and the heavy use of FPU operations put the overclocked Celerons well in the lead. Unlike the FPUMark benchmark, the FSB also has an impact, as the Celeron 566 and 600 can't match the Pentium III 500's scores.
