It's funny to think back to a little over a year ago at what comprised the video card accelerator landscape.

You had the upstart company named 3Dfx just kicking ass and taking names with their successful Voodoo1 chipset based 3D cards. You had ATI throwing out a card capable of displaying TV images along with strong 2D. You had nVidia preparing the world's first high-speed integrated 2D/3D chip in the form of the Riva 128.

In short, what you didn't have was a card capable of good 3D acceleration, strong 2D performance, full video capturing and editing, TV-Out, TV on your PC, etc etc etc.

Well now that the end of 1998 is approaching, technology has improved to the point where cards are on their way that offer all of the above - and more. The Matrox Marvel G200-TV is the first of these products, and it promises to revolutionize the way that amateurs approach breaking into the world of video capturing and editing.
