Performance
In this performance section, we are actually providing two reference points for the MSI 645E Max2-LRU. The first is against the Intel 850E, using the 533 MHz Pentium 4-2.4B and the second is the Intel 845D powered by a standard Pentium 4-2.4 GHz. The first example will demonstrate how the SiS 645DX performs against the high-end Pentium 4 RDRAM platform, while the second comparison covers the chipset transition to the 533 MHz FSB and the addition of DDR333.
The video portion is supplied by the powerful GeForce4 Ti 4600, thereby giving each system a lot of 3D headroom in the game benchmarks. Also note that while we tested the ATA-133 RAID controller in specific HD tests and real-world use, the provided comparison benchmarks were performed with the standard SiS IDE.
