Performance
Performance comparisons can be a bit difficult with motherboards, as even the slightest change in hardware or software can cause problems. We've loaded the boards with the same Pentium 4-2.2 GHz and a GeForce3 Ti 500, kept the base configuration stable, and have tested the MSI 845 Ultra up against both the Intel 845D and 850 reference boards. Although we fully expect the i850 to still come on top, this comparison will show by how much, and how the MSI design rates against the Intel 845D.
