The 16-bit color performance of the Viper V770 was astounding to say the least. In D3D games, it was way faster than the Voodoo3 in all resolutions. The Diamond Viper 770 Ultra TNT2's Quake2 performance was on par with the Voodoo3 3500's under the more complex Massive1 benchmark and less than 15% slower under the less significant demo1.dm2 mark.
The benchmarks we did show clearly that the board has little trouble under 32-bit conditions. Both Forsaken and Incoming were extremely playable and gave out exceptionally fast frame rates.

Benchmarking System
The test system used for benchmarking the TNT2 and Voodoo3 boards has an Abit BX6 Motherboard with 128MB of PC100 RAM and an 8.4 Gig Quantum Fireball hard drive. The Pentium III 500MHz and Pentium II 450MHz CPUs were swapped out for testing with both the Voodoo3 and TNT2 boards so that all other components stayed the same.
