Below is a shot of landscape from an 'island level', which depicts some extremely detailed textures towards the bottom quarter of the shot.

Moving on to the 'main-course' let's take a look at some real-time night/day effects, which have always been firm favorites at SE. The LithTech 2.0 engine is just as capable of whipping out these effects using a dynamic light source (the sun during the day and the moon during night time). The shadow effects that can be produced are also worthy of 'eye-candy trainspotters'.

"The big thing here is that the sun, or moon at night, is the dynamic light source. It's fun watching the character's shadow move when the sun is setting."
