Although the Inwin Alaska is a pricey case, the design and layout can be fully customized to make it more affordable. Simple conveniences like a Fanbus and sturdy wheels make CDI's case easier to work with, and should result in fewer case-related injuries. The design of the cooling solution is very efficient, and the combination of intake and exhaust keeps the internal temperature of the case very close to room temperature.
In our initial review of CDI's Alaska "Cool-Case" we found that the noise of 11 cooling fans to be quite a distraction. So we were pleased to see that CDI listened and implemented a similarly potent, but much quieter solution. On the same note, most of the wiring mess we experienced with the first CDI case has been cleaned up with the help of the Fanbus. It is now easier than ever to work inside the Inwin Alaska.
Sturdy wheels, large thumbscrews, and side panels that can be independently removed round out a package that excels in both cooling and "cool." If you can part with a small fortune, CDI's Inwin Alaska satisfies the "designer case" niche market in a very big way.
- 365W Power Supply
- Good cooling design with minimal noise
- Fanbus and Baybus for cleanliness and fan control
- It's got wheels!
- "Expensive" would be an understatement
