You wouldn't buy a 1.2GHz processor to run Internet Explorer would you? Of course not, that's why we subject each processor (and reviewer) to hours of Quake III testing using Demo001. In order to minimize the pain our video cards must endure, we use Normal Quality settings with v-sync off. Additionally, we have added Windows 2000 tests, and sound on/sound off scores so you can make your own comparisons.

The 1.2GHz Athlon outperformed the other chips in all instances but 1600x1200, where the processor does not play much of a roll anyway. The differences in performance are all very minor though. All of these processors are extremely fast.
