The speed and performance of a given CPU can have a direct impact on hard drive transfer rates. I've tested with both Business and High-End Disk WinMark benchmarks to fully illustrate this. Once again, the Pentium III Coppermines dominate this area and even the overclocked Celeron 550 beat out the Celeron 600 in a head to head comparison. While Business Disk WinMarks show slight differences, the High-End scores really extend this variance.
