Redundancy helps to ensure accuracy, which is why we use SYSmark 2000 in addition to Content Creation 2001. The benchmark offers a strong set of twelve application benchmarks covering a wide range of Internet Content Creation and Office Productivity application categories. According to BAPCo, the strength of SYSmark 2000 lies in its workloads, which reflect actual usage of real applications within the new computing paradigms.
Another application that highlighted the Celeron's snazzy new bus speed was SYSmark 2000. This time around, however, the Duron reaffirms its commanding lead, besting the Celeron in both Office Productivity and Content Creation suites. Given the relative ease in boosting the Duron's frequency, we don't see AMD facing much performance-related competition on a clock-for-clock basis from the Celeron in the near future.
