As a predominantly floating-point intensive application, the Pentium 4's branch prediction capabilities (and thus floating point performance) allow the processor to deliver the fastest frame rates we have ever seen in Quake III.
Our tests were run both with sound off and on to make it easier for you to compare our results to those of other publications. Additionally, we have added Windows 2000 scores to our Windows ME suite. Normal Quality tests were run in 16-bit color, while MAX and Torture tests were run in 32-bit color with all quality settings maximized. Why? Because we like you!
