The Intel P3-600 CPU offers the highest degree of performance possible for desktop PCs at this time. Within the next month AMD's Athlon CPUs will debut, along with their own strong capabilities, and we'll be re-evaluating our position accordingly as we compare and contrast the P3 family to the Athlon family.

For now, consumers desiring a high level of performance that's almost $75 less than the P3-550's debuted price in late May, should consider the P3-600 CPU as their best CPU choice if they have the budget to spend.

  • Extremely high performance level
  • SSE Instruction support
  • Price is as high as the performance level
