AOpen has changed their retail packaging a bit for the AX3S Pro and instead of the open box with a few cardboard inserts, the motherboard and its components ship inside a plastic housing. This is great for component safety, organization and possible future storage, as each part has its own recessed compartment. Inside this package there is the AX3S Pro motherboard, one FDD cable, one ATA-66/100 EIDE cable, one ATA-33 EIDE cable, a serial port adapter, a driver CD and a Norton A/V 2000 bonus disk.
The documentation includes a 175-page user manual and a foldout Easy Installation Guide. Like previous AOpen motherboards, the user manual is excellent and is chock full of usable information, and large full-color pictures and diagrams to help with the connections and jumper arrangements. It is essentially a printout of the online manual and organization and content are top-notch. AOpen has even corrected the only flaw in their previous user manuals and oriented the pages correctly, so you can open and read the AX3S Pro manual in the regular manner.
