    Unlike most of the other Athlon first generation mainboards the 6167 allows for a single, brutal, front side bus speed overclock from 100 to 133MHz. Unfortunately this feature is largely wasted with both the AMD-750 chipset as well as current Athlon CPUs, as neither is prepared for the massive jump to 133MHz.

    We couldn't even get our own Athlons to post at all when attempting a 133MHz (266MHz EV6) overclock. Of course there was no damage to any of the Athlon CPUs during our attempts, so we encourage MS-6167 owners to experiment to find their own results.

    If overclocking the Athlon were a specific goal of yours, we'd point you in the direction of the ASUS K7M mainboard, which allows for a variety of manual front side bus speeds above 100MHz.
