  • Let's look at the recipe of the Disruptor package, and then we'll go through our own thoughts and opinions regarding GamePC's hardware choices:

AMD Athlon 600MHz OEM SECC CPU
Glacier 4500 Triple Fan for SECC CPU
    Gigabyte GA7IX Athlon Motherboard
    PC133 256MB CAS2 SDRAM
Quantum Fireball Plus KA ATA-66 18GB
    Coolermaster Cool Drive Bay Cooler
Quantum Fireball Plus KA ATA-66 18GB
    Coolermaster Cool Drive Bay Cooler
    Promise ATA-66 RAID Card
    TEAC 1.44MB Floppy Drive
Pioneer 10X IDE DVD 40X CD Slot Loading Hollywood+ decoder
    Matrox G400MAX 32MB AGP
    Aureal Vortex2 SuperQuad PCI
    Addtronic 7890A Full-Tower 300W Power Supply
The Card Cooler Dual Case Fan
    Keytronic Windows Keyboard
    Microsoft Intellimouse PS/2 Mouse
Windows 98 Second Edition Operating System
    3Com 3C905 10/100 Network Card
Standard 1 Year Parts and 3 Years Labor Warranty with Recovery CD
Assembly, Burn-in Tests, Benchmarks and Drivers by GamePC

Whether looked at as a whole, or individually, the Disruptor's components clearly originate from technicians who play games.

Lets look at each part of the Disruptor PC in more depth:

We'd never used an Addtronic case previous to our experience with the GamePC Disruptor and soon after receiving the PC we found ourselves swimming in the large space it provides for components.

Being a full sized ATX tower, the 7890A contains six 5.25" drive bays as well as three 3.5" drive bays. It also contains room for up to four case fans to circulate air through the large case.
