SmartRefresh is a feature that allows you to set your monitor refresh rate to any setting, not just the standard increments like 60MHz, 75MHz, 80MHz, 85MHz and so on. So you can maximize your refresh rate to rid your monitor of all signs of flickering. SmartRefresh is especially useful when you have a monitor that cannot adjust image size very well, since adjusting the refresh rate has a significant effect on picture size. The only other manufacturer we've seen carry this kind of feature is Matrox. But in this day and age when even low-end video cards support 100Hz at 1024x768, screen flickering is not really a problem anymore.
