  • Well, folks... If you just can't get enough of GeForce3 video card reviews, this is your lucky day. The latest to get tested comes to us from the good folks at Guillemot and Hercules, both of whom established themselves as producers of some of the best gaming hardware before joining forces in 1999.

While leading performance is what helped Guillemot and Hercules and establish themselves, though, it is now quality and reliability that the new combined company relies on. That's not to say that their performance isn't what you'd expect from a GeForce3 card... it is. But with almost all GeForce3's based so closely on the reference design, and consequently performing at the same levels, consumers also have to look at what kinds of bundles a company provides, how much support and reliability, and how useful a software-set.

The basic features that are common to all GeForce3 cards have been covered more than enough times that most of you will just skip over them anyway. So rather than repeat the same information all over again, I'll just refer you to our recent ELSA Gladiac 920 review, in which Vince Freeman more than adequately covered the basics.

Let's start by taking a look at what you get in the box when you buy a Hercules 3D Prophet III.
