  • Following what has now become SharkyExtreme tradition, we'll kick off the benchmarks with Quake III, our favorite real-world measure of OpenGL performance. Tested in Normal and MAX quality graphics modes, we see a balanced mix of performance and visual quality.

In our Normal Quality, 16-bit benchmark both the reference design and the 3D Prophet II 64MB perform nearly identically. The i815E platform marginally outperforms the comparably equipped Athlon system, but for the most part, both video cards deliver identical framerates.
