At this point, it should be noted that ATI had yet to provide us with a current sample of their RADEON 8500 boards. As such, the scores available here are from our preview of the 8500, based on the early engineering sample of the board that ATI had sent us. Consequently, this board's core and memory are clocked at only 250/550, below what they have more recently been promising. Nonetheless, it's the only means of comparison we have at this time.
