With all of the Intel(r) Celeron(tm) articles Sharky Extreme has pumped out over the past week, you'd think that we'd forgotten about everybody's favorite underdog CPU manufacturer: AMD.

Well without further delay, we're happy to present to you the official AMD product roadmap for the first half of 1999 (February through June) as given to us by one of the largest AMD Tier-1 OEM system integrators in the United States.

This is AMD's latest roadmap (2 weeks old), and it offers new information regarding the direction the CPU manufacturer will take this year at both the high end of the market and the low end.

The 1999 1H roadmap also offers a more accurate picture as to when the AMD K7 CPU will make its debut in its initial .25mu version.

From now on, Sharky Extreme will permanently display and maintain the future roadmaps for both Intel(r) and AMD, and will update the information they include as it becomes available.

Enjoy.
