(Press Release) AMD has announced that Fujitsu PC Corporation has chosen AMD's mobile processors to power its new LifeBook A Series commercial notebook computers. All three configurations of Fujitsu's new LifeBook A Series feature 1.2GHz mobile AMD Athlon 4 processors which incorporate AMD PowerNow! technology, designed to increase notebook battery life while delivering performance on demand and enabling a notebook to run cooler and more quietly. The LifeBook A Series includes connectivity choices such as an integrated WiFi-compliant wireless LAN as well as traditional built-in modem and integrated Ethernet. The port replicator option will allow the user to detach the notebook without removing peripheral connections. A 40GB hard drive with DVD/CD/RW is available in some models. Options also include Microsoft Windows 98 Special Edition, Windows 2000 Professional Edition, or Windows XP Professional Edition.
