New Tools Offer More Cinematic Effects
Canopus Corporation brings its acclaimed realtime features and codec expertise to the HD market with EDIUS HD, a new affordable, realtime turnkey editing solution that will be unveiled at NAB2004 in Las Vegas. EDIUS HD includes an HD-SDI card and the new EDIUS Pro video editing software to deliver true realtime HD capabilities, mixed SD and HD editing on the timeline, and Canopus's advanced HD codec technology for exceptional video quality output.
Canopus will also debut MediaEdge2, the latest version of its video distribution system with MPEG-4 support, as well as Imaginate 2.0 still-image animation software that features multiple image support, soundtrack capabilities and a host of smart productivity tools to streamline production. Canopus will offer demonstrations of these new products at booth #SL5805 on the NAB show floor.
MediaEdge2, now with MPEG-4 support, is an affordable video distribution system that uses the company's proven MPEG compression technology to deliver professional-level video over LAN-based networks. By supporting video-on- demand, live broadcast, streaming media applications and pre-programmed playback, MediaEdge2 is an ideal solution for high-quality video distribution in retail stores, schools, corporations, airports, museums and theaters.
Canopus Imaginate 2.0 still-image animation software gives documentary filmmakers and broadcasters, as well as corporate and event videographers, the freedom and flexibility to bring new dimensions to their productions by transforming still images and photographs into movies. New features include multiple image support, advanced soundtrack capabilities and smart productivity tools to streamline production. The advanced timeline interface and intuitive camera control is easy to learn and helps quickly integrate Imaginate into the video editing workflow. With Imaginate, editors can pan, zoom, rotate, skew, and combine all of these movements to create cinematic effects that are not bound by two dimensions. Imaginate functions either as a standalone product or as a Canopus EDIUS or Adobe Premiere plug-in that lets editors drop Imaginate files directly onto the timeline for editing and includes alpha channel support for compositing effects.
