1 Beyond announced the new 1 Beyond HD Pro workstation, a powerful yet affordable HD digital nonlinear editing system designed to offer editors HD editing online, all the time. With prices starting at under $30,000, the 1 Beyond HD Pro editing workstation, offers affordable 10 bit uncompressed HD editing and compositing as well as real time HDV, SD and DV native formats.

Already tried and tested at major networks and by postproduction facilities around the country, the HD Pro workstation is available immediately and will be showcased at NAB on 1 Beyond's booth.

Thanks to multiple fast internal buses and a unique storage system called HotRock the 1 Beyond HD Pro workstation offers the exact same smooth response and user experience when working at full resolution uncompressed HD as when handling less demanding formats such as DV or SD.

For just $3.90 per GB, the 1 Beyond HotRock (Hot performance/Rock solid) internal removable storage system offers up to 12.5 hours of 1080i (7.5TB) video, and an overall system performance of over 400 MB/s of sustained data rate with Raid 3 protection.
