OCZ Technology has upgraded their flagship DDR3 product to a full 2.0 GHz, giving next-generation Intel processors some additional memory bandwidth to utilize. The OCZ DDR3 PC3-16000 modules use the standard 240-pin DIMM format and are designed to run at 1.9V. The EPP 2.0 Profile is one of its most important features, as this offers higher performance, superior overclocking and more aggressive timings. The standard DDR3 memory timings are 9-9-9-28 at 2.0 GHz, while the EPP 2.0 Profiles drops that to 9-8-8 on NVIDIA nForce 790i platforms. Only the nForce 790i Ultra-based systems can make use of these enhanced SPD timings, which is enabled through the System BIOS.

OCZ DDR3 PC3-16000 is also NVIDIA SLI certified, having passed a rigorous series of tests. The modules even sport the logo on the NVIDIA SLI special XTC (Xtreme Thermal Convection) heatspreaders, for a nice combination of heat dissipation and looks. These are available in a 2GB (2x1024MB) configuration and use the OCZ3N2000SR2GK model number. OCZ backs their DDR3 PC3-16000 memory with a full lifetime warranty.
