    Acer America has introduced a wide range of new Aspire Gemstone notebooks. These include four new series, the Aspire 8930, Aspire 6930, Aspire 5735, and Aspire 4730, all with their own set of performance specifications and screen sizes. These latest Aspire Gemstone models combine high performance, cutting-edge features and updated styling, as well as a range of LCD sizes and resolutions. The base Aspire 8930 is decidedly high-end and features an 18.4-inch HD CineCrystal widescreen display, an Intel Core 2 Duo T9400 at 2.53 GHz, GeForce 9700M GT graphics, 4GB of DDR3, Vista Ultimate, and an optional Blu-ray player.

    The other Aspire Gemstone notebooks drop a bit in both features and hardware options. The standard Aspire 6930 sports a 16" WXGA CrystalBrite LCD, with a 2.0 GHz Core 2 Duo T5800, 3GB of DDR2, an Intel GMA 4500MHD, and Vista Home Premium. Both the Aspire 5735 and Aspire 4730 feature a 2.0 GHz Pentium Dual-Core, 2GB of DDR2 and Vista Home Premium, while the 5735 utilizes a 15.6" WXGA (HD) CrystalBrite display and the 4730 offers a 14.1" WXGA CrystalBrite LCD. All four of these Aspire Gemstone notebooks feature 802.11a/b/g/Draft-N Wi-Fi, and other standard features include a 5-in-1 Digital Media Card Reader and Serial ATA hard drives. Suggested retail prices are as follows: Aspire 8930 ($1699.99), Aspire 6930 ($699.99), Aspire 5735 ($549.99), and Aspire 4730 ($549.99).
