  • Here is what's included in the DigiTheatre DTS box:

    • 2 x 25W dedicated front satellite speakers
    • 2 x 25W dedicated rear satellite speakers
    • 1 x 25W dedicated center channel speaker and Control module
    • 1 x 50W powered amplifier/subwoofer

Add up the wattage from the above list and the total amounts to 175Watts total RMS. That's a spectacular improvement over the original DigiTheatre's relatively meager 62.5Watts total RMS. The DigiTheatre DTS' satellite speakers are identical to the units that are included with VideoLogic's fantastic PC-oriented 4.1 sound system, the Sirocco Crossfire kit. They offer outstanding realism and reproduction across the entire range of a DVD-disc, along with amazingly compact dimensions. For the DigiTheatre DTS set, the Sirocco satellites have been slightly upgraded, with wall mount holes and fabric speaker face protectors. Our eval satellites weren't equipped with these upgrades, however VideoLogic confirmed to us that retail DigiTheatre DTS kits will have the improved satellites.

Here are the technical specifics for the entire DigiTheatre DTS kit:

Bass/mid drive unit and separate high-frequency tweeter, both fully shielded.

Bass/mid frequency drive: Audax 3 inch cone.

High frequency drive: Audax 10mm polymer dome.

Coaxial drive unit consisting of 4 inch bass/mid with concentric high-frequency tweeter, fully shielded.

Remote control: Infra-red remote control functions include standby mode on/off, surround mode select, volume (master and individual channels), input select, mute and test tone.

Surround modes: DTS, Dolby Digital, Dolby Pro Logic, Stereo.

    Effects: Theatre, Hall.

Volume level: Master and individual volume control to each speaker.

Input select: Digital optical, digital coaxial or analog line in.
