Faster transportation than a CES Las Vegas cab ride
This 165-ft long white dirigible hovered over the CES convention centers in Las Vegas for four straight days, emitting a drone not unlike the annoying sound of a gasoline-powered lawn mower.
Still, you've got to give the company credit for trying things that haven't ever been done before, both inside the convention center as well as outside.
PDP-42WF100: From our comments earlier regarding the lack of performance from flat panel plasma televisions at CES you might have concluded that all hope was lost in ever finding a television thinner than 5" that produces a sharp HDTV image.
This conclusion is correct currently, as none of the flat televisions we witnessed could hold a candle to their big screen rear projection brothers in terms of image sharpness or color depth. Don't believe what you read from the mainstream media about these "wondrous" plasma TVs, we saw over 30 different flat plasma displays along with approximately 30 - 40 brand new rear-projection HDTVs at CES, and it was a one-sided battle in favor of the rear-projection models by far.
